Yes, our CEO and founder, Jennifer Gardella built The Gardella Group when living in a relationship of domestic violence. As a survivor of vicious domestic violence at the hands of a sadistic abuser, Jennifer is on a mission to educate.
As a trained advocate she is a trusted resource to companies, government officials, non-profits and colleges. Through her story and expertise she speaks so ALL can recognize the signs of domestic violence, barriers to leaving, and supports victims and survivors need as they escape and rebuild their lives.
And the Gardella Group just published her first book to help victims/survivors as well as friends, family members, loved ones and colleagues understand the signs of psychological abuse and how to support a victim.

In addition to providing guidance on social media set-up and strategy, Jennifer is often sought for help with blogging. Many clients use her advice and experience to set-up a blog and then develop an editorial calendar to establish a greater internet presence. Using her extensive blogging experience Jennifer is able to help clients understand how to easily and effectively maintain a blog. Jennifer started her blogging career when she founded NJ Divorce Mom blog where she shared her musings as a single mom. Due to her authentic writing, she was asked to write for the Huffington Post. Jennifer’s academic background prepared her well for social media marketing with extensive training in Psychology and Analytics. Jennifer holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and an Ed.M. in Educational Statistics and Measurement from Rutgers University. Near and dear to her heart are the four years she spent on the Rose Hill campus of Fordham University earning a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a personal concentration in the fun of New York City.
Jennifer has spent years teaching statistics and psychology classes at Rutgers and Rider Universities at both the graduate and undergraduate level. This work helped her hone her skills of explaining complicated concepts breaking down difficult information into digestible pieces for understanding.
Jennifer grew up in East Brunswick, New Jersey and is a proud graduate of that strong public school system. She enjoyed a very successful fundraising career at the Rutgers University Foundation and then eight years at home as a full-time stay-at-home-mom. She attended playgroups and was part of the PTO leadership, a member of the Junior League of Greater Princeton, started three girl scout troops, and served as the President of the Lawrence Township Education Foundation.
In 2011 she started working for a divorce attorney in central New Jersey.
His firm's website had fallen off the first page of Google and the phone had stopped ringing.
Jennifer was charged with learning about the algorithms, blogging, website design and social media. Within 6 months, the website she had redesigned and rewritten was ranking in the first spot on the first page of Google.
The firm's social media presence was building rapidly.
She graduated with her Ph.D. in 2013 and realized her professional passion was to bring her new skill set to small business owners who couldn't hire a full time marketing director and who didn't have the time to learn what to do.
She first launched Your Social Media Hour and then quickly answered the demand by many to take on individual clients.

In her non-screen time you can find her hanging out with her circle of trust, exercising, learning to play the guitar, working on her golf game,
snuggled under a blanket with a great book, or binge-watching the latest craze.
